Entry-Level Field Technician
The entry-level Field Technician role complements our growing RF and IP engineering team of professionals. This multifaceted role involves onsite installation, maintenance, and training of various enterprise video systems. The position is also responsible for remote troubleshooting via phone, email, or help desk, pre-sales and post-sales support, network support, product configuration, testing, and quality control.
Responsibilities:
Conducts setup and installation of Z-Band video distribution hardware.
Conducts onsite commissioning and troubleshooting of Z-Band video distribution systems and provides necessary training to client personnel across the United States and North America.
Collaborates with other engineers and assists with internal testing. This involves identifying issues while testing products using standard electronic bench test equipment like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal strength meters in a lab environment.
Responsible for providing technical support to clients over the phone, email, or in person and maintaining accurate documentation of such activities using the company’s help desk software (ZOHO Desk).
Assists in drafting RF/IP project drawings tailored to the needs of our enterprise customers utilizing applications such as Microsoft Visio.
Assists the engineering team with preparing manuals and other technical documentation.
Ensures that demo hardware and software are updated and maintained correctly.
Assists in the basic configuration of network products.
Assists in general IP lab set-up, organization, and maintenance.
Assists in basic product assembly/builds as needed.
Demonstrates the ability to converse professionally with vendors, partners, and customers.
Adheres to all Company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Job Specifications:
A minimum of an associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or IT or two (2) years of equivalent relevant experience.
Desired certifications: CompTIA certifications or OJT equivalent.
Excellent technical sales presentation ability and communication skills.
A fundamental understanding of network management, data centers, network storage solutions, LAN/WAN/VLAN, structured cabling, enterprise data networking, security, VOIP, Fiber Optics, Cat 5e, Cat 6, 10G, xDSL, multicast/unicast, and server O/S is preferred.
Knowledge of RF test equipment such as Spectrum & Network Analyzers and Field Test Meters is preferred.
Knowledge of Basic CATV/DOCSIS principles is preferred.
Experience in developing and implementing acceptance test plans in customer lab environments.
Able to prioritize, work independently, and consistently meet commitments, objectives, and deadlines with minimum supervision.
Willingness to travel, sometimes on short notice. (North America)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must have a valid passport or the ability to acquire
