Fiber Attenuator
Fiber Attenuator Overview
The optical attenuator is used to control the power level of an optical signal generated by the Z-Light transmitter. The attenuator has an adjustment knob that allows the incoming optical signal to be attenuated anywhere from 0 to 30 db. The attenuator also functions as an SC-APC patch cord. Z-Band recommends at least one optical attenuator per system, installed with the Z-Light transmitter for system-wide adjustments and balancing.
